Easter and New Easter Friends

Halloween 2009

I know I'm a little late posting about Halloween, but I at least wanted to get some pictures of their costumes on here.

This year I told the boys that I was not buying new costumes for Halloween, so after

digging through all the Halloween stuff this is what we came up with.

Drew really wanted to be a bat. I made his wings out of an old broken umbrella we just happened to have. His ears we found in Grandma Hills costume box. We think it turned out pretty good.

Mackay was a lion. He really hated any costume I tried to put on him. It wasn't until he actually went trick-or-treating that he figured out that the costume wasn't so bad if it means he get lots of candy.

Sammy made the cutest caveman I've ever seen. This costume was also out of Grandma Hills costume box. We added the wig which really gave it a nice finishing touch.

Time for an Update

I haven't blogged in awhile, but that's usually how it goes. I did try to update about a month ago, but had some computer problems and put it off again. Here is a little post about our summer adventures.

Last time I posted, we had just returned from our Montana camping trip, the first of many camp-outs this year. In July I got to go to girls camp, which was a blast. We also camped out at Bear Lake with my family, and at Current Creek Reservoir with the Hills.

In August we went back up to Bear Lake a few times, and Drew started first grade. Sammy started preschool in September, and loves it so much. In October Sam and I got to take a trip without the kids up to Portland. Sam had a work conference there, and I decided to tag along. It was an awesome trip, I love the Oregon coast. Halloween was lots of fun this year. Drew was a bat, Sammy was a caveman, and Mackay a lion. So cute!!

Life has settled down a little this month. I started clinicals, and so far I am loving it. We are looking forward to Thanksgiving, we will be going up to Idaho with all the Hill family. Here are some fun pictures from this summer, and some family pictures taken by my brother in law Aric.

We love Camping!!

Our family just got back from a great camping trip in Montana. We were very fortunate to not get rained on, though it was a bit colder than I would have liked. The area were we camped at is absolutely gorgeous, and very isolated. We practically had the whole mountain to ourselves.

Mackay at the lake by the camp ground. His favorite part was throwing rocks in the lake to scare away all the fish we were trying to catch. Grandpa was still able to catch a few.

Drew and Sammy even had their own bow to shoot. Drew is getting pretty good. Won't be to long before he is old enough to go hunting with Dad.

Definetly one of the best parts of this trip was four wheeling all the little trails through the beatuiful mountains. Everything was so green from all the recent rain. We were able to see lots of animals including: elk, deer, fox, beaver, and three bears (or maybe it was the same bear three times).
We can't wait to go camping again!!

Drew's Tooth

Drew lost his first tooth today, and is very excited for the tooth fairy to come tonight. His two front teeth have been very loose for a few weeks now. Today Sammy was swinging a bucket around, and it whacked Drew right in the mouth. It knocked one of the loose teeth right out. Drew was so happy his tooth had come out that he was actually thanking Sammy for smacking him in the face. Now that's what I call brotherly love.

Wow, I haven't blogged in a long, long time.

So I just thought I would do a quick update on what we have been up to. I have been keeping very busy with school lately. In fact I really should be studing, or taking my online test right now. But physical principles of respiratory care and gas laws can wait. My brain is about ready to shut off, so I'm giving it a break before my physiology test tonight.

I really do love being back in school though. It's a lot of information to take in, but I am loving everything that I am learning.

Sam recently finished fire training at work this last week. So if there is ever a fire on base at Camp Williams where he works, he will be one of the lucky guys who gets to fight it.

The kids have been loving the good weather. I can't ever get them to come inside anymore.

The downside to that is that they get so dirty every day. I'm having a hard time keeping up on the laundry. Also we have been going through band-aids like crazy due to all the cuts and scraped knees. I swear, my kids are so clumbsy.

Mackay has finally started talking a little bit. Yeah. Its fun to hear him discover new words everyday.

All in all things are going well for our family.

Fun Vacation

Our family took a fun trip down to Sea World and Disneyland last weekend. We had a great time, but Sam and I are completly exhausted. We were able to celebrate Drews 6th birthday while we were there. The highlight of his birthday was being able to participate in the Jedi Training Academy, and go one on one with Darth Vader himself. For a little star wars fan you can't ask for much better than that. Sea World was so much fun. The weather was great so we got really wet. We also took time to go out to the beach and see the San Diego Temple. The kids loved the beach just as much as disneyland and sea world, and did not want to leave. We also saw three dolphins swimming around about 100 yards off the coast where we were playing. San diego is so pretty. Everything is so green and beautiful, it was so hard to comeback home to cold, brown utah. Can't wait for winter to be over!!
