We love Camping!!

Our family just got back from a great camping trip in Montana. We were very fortunate to not get rained on, though it was a bit colder than I would have liked. The area were we camped at is absolutely gorgeous, and very isolated. We practically had the whole mountain to ourselves.
Mackay at the lake by the camp ground. His favorite part was throwing rocks in the lake to scare away all the fish we were trying to catch. Grandpa was still able to catch a few.
Drew Sammy, and Sam sitting around the campfire, trying to stay warm.

Sam brought up all his toys to set up a nice little shooting range.

Sammy tending Grandpa's fish.

Drew and Sammy even had their own bow to shoot. Drew is getting pretty good. Won't be to long before he is old enough to go hunting with Dad.

Definetly one of the best parts of this trip was four wheeling all the little trails through the beatuiful mountains. Everything was so green from all the recent rain. We were able to see lots of animals including: elk, deer, fox, beaver, and three bears (or maybe it was the same bear three times).
We can't wait to go camping again!!

Drew's Tooth

Drew lost his first tooth today, and is very excited for the tooth fairy to come tonight. His two front teeth have been very loose for a few weeks now. Today Sammy was swinging a bucket around, and it whacked Drew right in the mouth. It knocked one of the loose teeth right out. Drew was so happy his tooth had come out that he was actually thanking Sammy for smacking him in the face. Now that's what I call brotherly love.

Wow, I haven't blogged in a long, long time.

So I just thought I would do a quick update on what we have been up to. I have been keeping very busy with school lately. In fact I really should be studing, or taking my online test right now. But physical principles of respiratory care and gas laws can wait. My brain is about ready to shut off, so I'm giving it a break before my physiology test tonight.
I really do love being back in school though. It's a lot of information to take in, but I am loving everything that I am learning.

Sam recently finished fire training at work this last week. So if there is ever a fire on base at Camp Williams where he works, he will be one of the lucky guys who gets to fight it.

The kids have been loving the good weather. I can't ever get them to come inside anymore.
The downside to that is that they get so dirty every day. I'm having a hard time keeping up on the laundry. Also we have been going through band-aids like crazy due to all the cuts and scraped knees. I swear, my kids are so clumbsy.

Mackay has finally started talking a little bit. Yeah. Its fun to hear him discover new words everyday.
All in all things are going well for our family.
Here are a few pictures taken at calf creek falls and goblin valley last month.

Fun Vacation

Our family took a fun trip down to Sea World and Disneyland last weekend. We had a great time, but Sam and I are completly exhausted. We were able to celebrate Drews 6th birthday while we were there. The highlight of his birthday was being able to participate in the Jedi Training Academy, and go one on one with Darth Vader himself. For a little star wars fan you can't ask for much better than that. Sea World was so much fun. The weather was great so we got really wet. We also took time to go out to the beach and see the San Diego Temple. The kids loved the beach just as much as disneyland and sea world, and did not want to leave. We also saw three dolphins swimming around about 100 yards off the coast where we were playing. San diego is so pretty. Everything is so green and beautiful, it was so hard to comeback home to cold, brown utah. Can't wait for winter to be over!!

Drew and the Leopard

We went to the Zoo today. I just wanted to share this quick video because it was so funny. The first time this happened I think Drew jumped clear across the room. I forgot to flip the video before posting it so you might have to turn your head sideways to see it right.

Christmas 2008

I know Christmas was like 2 weeks ago, but I'm finally starting to recover from all the festivities and now it is time to update my blog. We had a great Christmas this year. The kids had so much fun hanging out with their cousins all day Christmas eve and Christmas day. The boys got lots of fun new presents, and we all ate way to much candy. We spent New Years up in Logan visiting with our friends there. We were originally only going to stay one night but ended up staying the whole weekend. It was so much fun.

Visit to Santa

We went to see Santa on Friday. Sammy would not go anywhere near him, and Mackay screamed when we sat him on Santa's lap. So we just got this one picture this year. Only five days left till Christmas!!!
